File:Władysław Łokietek seal 1320.PNG[edit]
This is a photograph of a 3D object, therefore PD-Art cannot be claimed --— Kpalion(talk) 13:35, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- Keep Middleages. More than 70 years. --Starscream (talk) 03:49, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yea, but for coins, the question is whether the picture of it is a mere 2D-reproduction or an artistic photograph. In this case, I'd say it was a simple scan (it's even black & white only) without artistic value and therefore the image can be kept. --PaterMcFly (talk) 07:53, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- I checked the source of this image. It's a book published 1899, so it can't be a simple scan, more probably some kind of lithography, which may fall under the artistic category. The good news is that the author, Franciszek Piekosiński, died in 1906, more than 70 years ago, so it appears to be in public domain. — Kpalion(talk) 18:46, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Władysław I Łokietek lived in XIII and XIV century! So, pd-old. --Starscream (talk) 16:50, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
- It seems to be in PD, but not because Łokietek died in 1333, but because Franciszek Piekosiński, the author of the illustration of the seal, died in 1906. — Kpalion(talk) 14:02, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
