This picture is not BY John Thomas Serres - it is by an unknown artist. A (possibly optimistic) auctioneer has described it as being by an artist 'in the circle of' John Thomas Serres. It should not be the work illustrated on the Wikipedia page for John Thomas Serres. 86.183.166.167 20:11, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Why should the picture be deleted, what is the reason? Why do you not give a reference for your information? What should be on Wikipedia or not, you have to clarify there. --Trzęsacz (talk) 20:34, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

 Keep None of these is a reason for deletion. If the filename is wrong, ask for it to be corrected. If the attribution is wrong, edit it. If the image is misused on a Wikipedia, correct that Wikipedia. --bjh21 (talk) 10:48, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

agree with @Bjh21, the picture is used on several pages; by all means update the artist name, but do not delete the file. Somej (talk) 06:49, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
